It also helps with cost control by allowing customers to pay only for what they use, as well as resource optimization by separating computing and storage. Some of the IBM Analytics Engine's useful features include making use of open-source power, creating clusters according to the application's needs, allowing users to select the right software pack, version, and cluster size, and customisation and analytics configuration. Users also benefit from the software since CPU and storage are no longer constrained. Since there is no data saved in the compute cluster, the clusters are more agile. To offer the most cost-effective protection, it uses a tiered system.
